Tim Swedean, CPA
Tim has worked in public accounting in the Siouxland area for more than 25 years. He has been involved in the ownership and management of certified public accounting firms since 1996. This experience gives him a unique perspective on the problems that face small businesses. He gives guidance in the areas of profit margins, managing payroll costs and their benefits, insurance cost management, and retirement planning.
Having grown up in the area, Tim has a deep understanding of Sioux City and the surrounding communities. He not only understands the history of this area but also the challenges in front of this community. Because of this, he truly believes in giving back to the community. Over the last 25 years, Tim has been actively involved in several local organizations as a board or committee member at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Serra Club of Siouxland, Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools, Knights of Columbus, Downtown Kiwanis Club and Crittenton Center.
He and his wife, Lisa, have two grown daughters, two sons-in-law and three grandchildren. When not working for his clients or volunteering in the community, Tim enjoys traveling to spend time with family.
Danielle interned for Tim last tax season before joining Swedean & Co. full time. She is currently an accountant working on payroll and tax preparation for several clients. Danielle graduated from Briar Cliff University with a bachelors degree in accounting.
